| | 1. | Check the list of categories and books on the submission form to confirm they are not already contracted. |
| | 2. | If the book idea is not contracted complete the submission outline. If you have had little writing experience and would like assistance please say so under ‘previous experience’ in the submissions outline. |
| | 3. | You will be advised in four weeks whether or not we will proceed. |
| | 4. | If we agree, then the contract must be completed. See the Contract Summary. For the full contract, see the section in the Authors Guides to Self Help Guides. |
| | 5. | The book must be submitted in hard copy and on floppy disk, IBM compatible, in microsoft word, font Times New Roman. The material must be single spaced. The layout must be as per the sample with the text on the left of one page and the exercises relative to the text on the right. See the Authors Guides to Self Help Guides. |
| | 6. | If the book requires editing, we will advise you, and advise the cost which will be set against future royalties. We will also advise suitable editors. |
| | 7. | Once the book is ready, we will complete the following (note, we state if it is collaboration with the author). |

| | | Mounting on web with sample chapter. |
| | | Preparation of outline, and promotion web page. |
| | | Preparation of author promotion page (in collaboration with author). |
| | | Initial, second and final letter promoting the site and other books to follow any download of the guide. |
| | | Set up the author’s admin page with password. |
| | | Develop promotion plan for the book, users groups, news groups, banner sites to target, associations to contact etc. (In collaboration with author.) |
