Shelly Hollingsworth has been a Professional School Counselor at the high school level for over twenty years. She has worked with students in private and public schools, magnet schools and traditional schools. Shelly has extensive experience working with students from disadvantaged backgrounds as well as first generation college-going students.

Shelly Hollingsworth was recognized by the Hillsborough Counseling Association as the Counselor of the Year in 2001 and the Florida School Counseling Association as their Counselor of the Year in 2002. She was recognized by the Florida Counseling Association as their Member of the Year in 2003. Shelly is the Chair-Elect for the Hillsborough Senior High Council.

Shelly is the State Sponsor for the Florida Senior Beta Club. She is very active in the community with the American Cancer Society and Greyhound Rescue. She also serves as a volunteer on-air talent with the local PBS television station, WEDU-TV.

Shelly lives in Tampa, Florida with her husband, 2 greyhounds and 1 cat..
