Details:

- I am a trained and experienced Performing Arts Further Education lecturer and a trainee Counsellor. I am a lecturer for students at all levels with specialist skills in Acting. My work has also included pastoral care in various educational environments ranging from secondary schools, FE colleges and Youth Centres.

- Since 1995 I have worked as a drama facilitator, workshop leader and teacher with ages ranging from 6 months to over 50 years of age. My work with young adults saw me direct and facilitate the devising of many live and recorded performances. This has included leading workshops on creative writing, singing and acting. They have ranged from ensemble performances using elements of Forum theatre when dealing with issues affecting the participants to working with individual songs or monologues for auditions and public performances.

- In 2005 I finished my Further Education teacher training while working as a Performing Arts tutor for over 3 years in South Thames College in London. There I was able to establish singing as part of the Performing Arts courses and was very proactive in the teaching of vocal skills in performers and non-performers. I was able to use my knowledge in vocal workshop for trainee teachers at the college. Building interpersonal skills using drama skills was very much a part of my work at the college and my freelance work.

- As a part of United Creative Arts I was able to write and structure my own style of exploratory and experimental drama training. With UCA I worked as the Assistant director/Casting assistant/Production Assistant and stage manager for theatre projects in the London borough of Merton.

- Still very much a performer I have been able to write, produce, direct and star in my own plays. Most recently 'Captured to fly' which I put on as part of Abbeyfest Theatre Festival and was very well received. I am also a singer and have worked as a session singer as well as soloist for cover songs and my own material performing at a range of venues from Black Heath Halls and The Rada Bar to Wembley Arena and Alexander Palace. In 2001 I won the award for the best Jazz act at the Urban Voice Awards.

- I have began using my skills as a facilitator in the corporate world to help build skills in team work, networking and presentation and building morale. ( Recent clients Merriweather and Microsoft)

- I am currently studying to be a Counsellor in order to utilise my skills in this area to feed my work as a facilitator and workshop leader as well as become a professional Counsellor. I am also writing a self-help guidebook called 'Knowing is Owning' about overcoming depression and lack of confidence.
