Welcome Readers,

I was born in the Caribbean and lived most of my life there,except for four years about eighteen years ago when I lived in the US. I wanted new and different experiences in my life and chose the US because I had family members living there. While I lived there I continued my teaching career and completed a Masters' Degree in Education.

When my son was one year old I returned home and worked as a Wood Technologist and completed a Masters' Degree in Plant Science. I soon switched back to Education and stayed there working and completing my studies to the Ph. D level.

I am now a single parent with two children, my son 19 and my daughter 12. For the past ten years I have been working independently as a Consultant and that has given me many opportunities to work with parents, teachers and young people.

I design and implement workshops and training sessions, I counsel and I lead support groups. My passion is Social and Emotional Learning. My other passion is writing. I self-published three booklets for parents and teachers. I write whenever the spirit moves me now. Writing a self-help guide I think is a good way to put together what I have learned over the years both in my work and in my life.I hope you find something useful here.
