Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia some 48 years ago, I guess you could refer to me as a true "Southern Belle" - I even have the accent to prove it! I moved to the mountains of northeast Alabama in October of '93 where I encountered a bit of culture shock but I have recovered nicely and now, I wouldn't live anywhere else. | ||||

I have a 16 year old son that I adore named Jeff. He is truly a wonderful kid... I am officially retired from my career because of Multiple Sclerosis but I am always on the look-out for exciting new projects to undertake. I have been writing most of my adult life and at one time, I was asked to pen a few children's books but the time just wasn't available to me back then. I've written a few short stories (non-published, of course) and I am currently working on a novel based on a dream I had several months ago. I belong to the Methodist Church, I have sung in the choir and I've done my stint as financial secretary because my major was in math. I gave that up so somebody else could do it... History and genealogy have always been of great importance to me. So, I have done as much reading on both subjects as I can possibly find. And, what I have learned and experienced, I now pass along to you... Always, Joy
