I left the Coast to do a PhD in chemistry at Canterbury University then decided half way through I did not want to be a research chemist and joined Shell Oil NZ in Wellington as a Chemical Sales Representative. This introduced me to business and to training in business.
In 1980 I became self-employed as a business trainer and consultant, and remains so today. My business consulting web site is www.bdacoach.com.
I enjoy writing and have had nine books published in management. The current books available at www.mb2000.com . I’m contracted to write several additional books for management books 2000. I also had six years with a monthly column in New Zealand’s largest and most prestigious management magazine, and four years with a weekly spot on the radio talkback IZB business hour.
With twenty years experience as a business coach and facilitator and consultant I like to think I have developed some wisdom and now have something to offer. I’m one of the founders of Self Help Guides, and created the concept.
I live in Auckland New Zealand. Twice divorced, and have two grown children to my first wife, also from Runanga.
Beside management writing I have great interest in philosophy and am seeking to make a contribution to understanding knowledge and a general theory of psychology. My site is www.grlphilosophy.co.nz.
As to hobbies, I’m keen on the gym, working out three to four times per week. I’m on an 18 handicap at golf, though my friends say I play golf with great enthusiasm but little talent. My great hobby passion however is salt water fly fishing, having been a trout fisherman for twenty years I ‘found’ salt water fly just a few years ago and it is now my favorite. As often as I’m able I head up to Cape Brett, Bay of Islands, New Zealand, fly rod in hand, deck heaving chasing Trevally, Kawhai, Yellow Tail, Tuna, occasional Mako and my great wish, a Marlin.
Cheers,
Graham Little
